Annette Cantor-Groenfeldt graduated as a certified teacher 1987 from ACAT in New York City.
She trained with Judy Leibowitz, a first generation student of Alexander himself, Deborh Kaplan, Barbara Kent, and Pearl Aushubel. She also visited London and studied with Walter Carrington and other renown British teachers.
She had her studio in New York until 1993, when she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked with singers and pianists during the summers for the academie of Lied and song in Neuss, Germany, as well as introducing artisits to the principles at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.
As a singer and avid yoga practitioner with a teaching degree she has been offering workshops in voice and alignment or movement and alignment.
Having gone through a period of deep healing after a breast cancer diagnosis she found the Alexander Technique an invaluable tool for her mental and spiritual growth and her physical well being. Connecting deeply within on a daily basis through meditation in stillness, in movement, and in singing, she discovered a more centered place to live from, which she is now sharing in her teaching practice and in her workshops on Alexander Technique and Sound Healing.
It inspired her to call her work “Healing through Alignment “ where she incorporates voice, Alexander Technique, movement and deep awareness for a profound healing experience.
